$7.32 million fund will help Ohio tech startups

Ohio TechAngels will invest $7.32 million in a new fund aimed at Ohio-based, high-growth, technology-driven businesses, the fourth of its kind from the investor group.

The fund raised $3.66 million from 97 investors with a one-to-one match from Ohio Third Frontier. As with the three previous Ohio TechAngel investments, TechColumbus will manage the fund.

The first three Ohio TechAngels funds attracted 282 members and made 63 investments in 43 Ohio-based technology startups — a total of $25.2 million in funding, including the member “sidecar” investments.
