Accelerant invests in digital merchandising company

The Dayton Development Coalition’s entrepreneurial development team, Accelerant, has made an investment in the region’s first digital merchandising company, officials announced Wednesday.
Funding details weren’t disclosed.
The company, TextPride Inc., specializes in developing “emoticons,” which are symbols used primarily in mobile messaging to visually express emotions, popular symbols or brand logos.
“A digital merchandising business like this has never been developed in the Dayton region,” said Joel Ivers, the coalition’s vice president of entrepreneurial development, in a statement.
