Sprav Water, LLC, the student-led technology company that hopes to manufacture smart meters for home showers, has won a statewide collegiate clean energy competition.

Sprav (rhymes with brave, created by combining spray and save) took top honors – and $10,000 cash — this past weekend in the third annual Ohio Clean Energy Challenge sponsored by NorTech and the University Clean Energy Challenge of Ohio.

Sprav is a wireless water meter that installs without tools, enabling users to measure their water consumption. Sprav will be installing beta versions of the devices later this month at Case Western Reserve University and Baldwin-Wallace University.
