Participating in SkillsUSA helps Ohio connect industry with education partners

Workforce development is a priority for The Ohio Manufacturing Extension Partnership (Ohio MEP). Participating in SkillsUSA is one way the state is helping connect industry with education partners to ensure a skilled workforce that will keep jobs in Ohio. Students were competing in areas including welding, engineering and automotive technology and many more.

Take a look at video below of Tuesday’s (4/15/14) competition at the Columbus Convention Center. State winners will be heading to the national SkillsUSA Championships in Kansas City in June.
