Cincinnati startup scraps strategy, takes its product public

MedaCheck’s tablet that helps seniors remember to take their medication is available to the public for the first time today. And that is something co-founder and CEO Jeffrey Shepard never planned for.

The Cincinnati startup in March launched a beta test in partnership with the Berger Health System in Circleville, Ohio. That’s the direction Shepard originally intended – partnering with hospitals to give tablets to patients to lower readmission rates.
