ASM International will focus on thermal manufacturing with $400,000 grant

Materials science-focused nonprofit ASM International of Materials Park in Novelty was awarded a $400,000 planning grant from the National Institute of Science and Technology to create a roadmap for the future of thermal manufacturing.

The grant was one of 19 awarded by the institute on Thursday, May 8, as part of its new Advanced Manufacturing Technology Consortia program. According to a news release from the institute, the program was created in 2013 to help spark partnerships between industry, academia and government to identify and prioritize research that can help move advanced manufacturing forward.
