These days, local entrepreneurs are drinking a lot more coffee and beer with one another, and all because of a book called “Startup Communities.”
The popular book has sparked the launch of at least four networking events in Northeast Ohio. All of them are designed to round up entrepreneurs and get them to build relationships with each other — a crucial activity for any region that aims to create lots of successful startup companies, according to the book. One of those local networking events, TechPint, regularly draws hundreds of people. Many of them are well-known tech entrepreneurs and investors.
And another ambitious event inspired by Startup Communities is scheduled to launch this week.
