Brandery grad wins $100K investment from AOL founder

A Cincinnati startup that produces special eyeglass lenses with interchangeable boutique frames that can be swapped to complement any look won a $100,000 investment from America Online co-founder Steve Case as he visited Cincinnati on his Rise of the Rest tour on Thursday.
Frameri, a 2013 Brandery grad, won the afternoon pitch competition and is receiving an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C., to pitch before Case’s Revolution Ventures, in addition to the personal $100,000 from Case.
