AOL founder in Cincinnati: ‘I think we’re actually losing’ global innovation battle

America Online co-founder and startup investor and evangelist Steve Case said at a fireside chat at the Brandery on Thursday that the United States needs to be more supportive of entrepreneurship or it will lose the global battle for innovation.

Case, who started his career at Procter & Gamble out of college, was in Cincinnati, Ohio as part of his investment group Revolution’s Rise of the Rest bus tour promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in cities not typically thought of as startup hubs. The tour includes Detroit, Pittsburgh and Nashville.
