A hand-held detector for salmonella, E. coli and other food poisoning culprits has landed Ohio Third Frontier and TechColumbus startup help for an Ohio State University spinoff company – just as a new federal law adds impetus for producers and distributors to buy such a device.
ProteoSense LLC has received a $100,000 grant directly from the Ohio Third Frontier Technology Validation and Start-up Fund and an undisclosed amount from the TechColumbus-managed Technology Concept Fund.
