Columbus named a top city for STEM grads amid worker shortage

Anagha Vyas knows all too well the difficulty of hiring for science, technology, engineering and math positions. Vyas heads up the Dublin office of Persistent Systems Ltd., an India-based information technology company, and says they are stretched thin. “We could have used 30 more people at some points,” said Vyas, who arrived from Pune, India, last year to launch Persistent’s Dublin operations. That’s even in the backyard of Ohio State University, a major factory for STEM talent and one of the reasons Persistent picked Central Ohio in the first place.
