Justin Bayer is in New York City tonight preparing for a national business pitch competition that could help his local education company get funding to grow.

Bayer is the founder of Welcome to College LLC, a Dayton-based firm that focuses on helping students select and plan for college life. His mantra is based around what he terms “finding Marv” — Marv being an acronym for Meaning, Accomplishment, Relationships and Vitality — as the basis for happier students and employees.
