Lorain County Community College receives $2.5 million grant for 3-D printing program

The Ohio Board of Regents has awarded Lorain County Community College $2.5 million to expand an Advanced Digital Manufacturing program with more 3-D printing.

Riding a new wave of business technology, 3-D printing creates a prototype of an object by laying down and building up layers of plastic to simulate metal, plastic and some cloths, said Tracy Green, vice president of strategic and institutional development at LCCC.
