Consortium of Ohio higher education institutions, manufacturers win $15 million job-training grant

Lorain County Community College, along with a consortium of other higher education institutions and manufacturers across the state, has won a $15 million job-training grant from the federal government.
The grant, which is through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training program, will be used to establish a statewide model for advanced manufacturing education and training. This partnership is one of 71 grantees being awarded a total of $450 million.
