Cincinnati-based startups comprised nearly half of the 17 announced venture capital deals in Ohio during the third quarter, according to a new report released on Friday.

The O’Gara Group, which develops security products and services, led local companies with a $5.53 million round led by Downtown’s Walnut Group, according to the PwC/NCVA MoneyTree Report based on data from Thomson Reuters.
