Six entrepreneurs on Tuesday night, Oct. 21, gave their best pitches at Magnet’s first ProtoTech competition at the Ariel International Center, with two taking home a few thousand dollars to turn their product ideas into reality.
The winners of the ProtoTech contest were Everykey LLC, which took first place and a prize of $12,000, and RoboNail, which won second place for $7,500 and the audience favorite for an additional $1,000. Both winning entrepreneurs also will receive product design and prototyping hours from SmartShape and coaching from Scientific Entrepreneur Evaluations.
“$12,000 is a lot of money to us,” said Chris Wentz, the 23-year-old CEO of Everykey.
