Tech Czar Talk: Cool stuff is happening in the tech, transportation industry right here in Cleveland

Gata Get a Taxi. I find it imminently interesting when a non-Cleveland-based tech company seeks out Cleveland as a hot market for their product.

It seemed, historically, that Cleveland would get the cold shoulder as “the market” from the Silicon Valley tech firms. I can’t tell you how many times I have heard that “Cleveland is not a sexy market.” But, recently I have felt that Cleveland’s fortunes are about to change and in a big way. One could point to the recent acquisition of TOA Technologies (www.toatech.com) by Oracle (a Silicon Valley heavyweight), as an example of a solid local tech company getting serious props.

I would like to point to a significantly smaller example of Cleveland getting noticed by an outside tech company.
