Firm on hiring binge as software catches health reform’s ‘bundled payments’ wave

Increasing demand from insurers, employers and health-care policymakers to pay for better medical outcomes instead of more stuff is creating a growing market for Aver Informatics Inc., the software and data analytics startup that Drive Capital LLC moved to Columbus this year.

The company has grown to 35 employees from 10 at the beginning of the year, is on track for 10 more hires by spring, and could conceivably hit 75 by the end of 2015, CEO Kurt Brenkus told me. They’re a mix of data scientists, programmers, sales and customer support staff.
