Dublin startup Updox adding 20 jobs in 2015, nearing profitability

Just over a year ago, Updox LLC CEO Michael Morgan predicted a good 2014. So how did the company do?

Revenue this October was triple that of the same month a year ago for the maker of secure messaging systems for physician practices to transmit records and online portals for patients to see their records and ask questions. About 19 million patients are in the database as more physician practices start using Updox, and doing more types of transactions with it.

“With what we’ve got right now we’ll double the business next year,” Morgan told me. “We’re in the center of a big movement of health care finally looking at patients as customers.”
