Fastlane, part of the University of Dayton Research Institute, has secured nearly $500,000 from Ohio for a pilot program to help manufacturers start or escalate the use of 3D printing. With additive manufacturing, commonly called 3D printing, machines add layers of thin materials to create a product or component.
