UT chosen as one of four national sites to strengthen local innovation

The National Science Foundation has selected the University of Toledo in Ohio as one of the first four Innovation Corps (I-Corps) sites in the nation. I-Corps sites are academic institutions created to strengthen local innovation.
Developed at Stanford University, the I-Corps program prepares scientists and engineers to focus beyond the laboratory and broaden the impact of NSF funded research projects.
The program affords entrepreneurs to discover if their product will succeed by, talking to their customers earlier in the development process, enabling them to truly understand their market.
