Intellirod Spine, a medical device company in Akron, announced what it described as a “key licensing milestone” in the development of its wireless sensing technologies for use in spinal care.

The company said it has entered into licensing and distribution agreements with X-spine Systems Inc. of Miamisburg, Ohio, to use X-spine’s Fortex implants in conjunction with Intellirod’s forthcoming LOADPRO disposable microelectronic sensor.
