Winning innovators tackle sexual assault on campus

The third annual Scripps Innovation Challenge wrapped up its competition Monday afternoon with a finale that decided which teams would win the challenge. Each of the seven groups selected as finalists earned a portion of the $25,000 in prize money.
The teams chose between two issues to create an innovative and practical means of addressing or solving each of their chosen issue through media communication. The two topics were engaging first-time voters in next year’s elections and addressing the problem of sexual assaults on campus.
