Columbus Startup Week: 5 reasons you should never become an entrepreneur

Columbus Startup Week kicked off Monday to celebrate startups and entrepreneurs, so of course the day’s events are capped with a talk titled, “It’s a terrible idea to be an entrepreneur.”

Tanisha Robinson, CEO of Columbus-based apparel and home goods company Print Syndicate LLC, gave me a preview of her 5 p.m. talk at the conference’s main venue at the Garden Theatre at 1187 N. High St.

This might sound odd coming from a founder who last year closed a $4.25 million funding round for a fast-growing company just five years after starting and selling an online business. But she’s had a few startups that “never got off the ground,” she said.
