Marvin Rivers has decided to give kohlrabi a try. The knobby veggie was just 50 cents in a pre-paid farmers market in the corporate cafeteria of his employer, Columbus shoe retailer DSW Inc.
For less than $10, the operations analyst stuffed a bag with kale, zucchini and other veggies – almost all grown in Central Ohio. The discounted produce was a wellness perk DSW purchased through Columbus software startup Azoti Inc.
“This is part of our journey to be America’s favorite place to work,” Rivers said.
