Farmers flying drones. It’s not a scene out of Interstellar or some other science fiction story, it’s a reality.

And pretty soon, it could be common practice.

The Northwest Ohio Agriculture-Business Breakfast forum provided information on the new technology, more accurately called Unmanned Aircraft Systems, and its applications in agriculture. The event took place Thursday at the Agricultural Incubator Foundation near Bowling Green.

  1. It’s thrilling to learn about this. According the article, a variety of sensor capabilities attached to the aircraft could help farmers with tasks such as tracking invasive insect species, precision fertilization, and yield estimates. It is for sure that agriculture is going to meet the next boom very soon.
