When Rich Wagner went to Silicon Valley in spring 2014 to seek investors for his data analytics startup Prevedere Inc., the very first venture capitalist he was introduced to was Pete Thomas.
Then heading ATA Ventures and raising a new fund, “the timing wasn’t right” for Prevedere, but Thomas immediately grasped the value of the forecasting technology and made other introductions, in part leading to investments in undisclosed amounts last year by Norwest Venture Partners and Foundation Capital.
