Albert Green, Ph.D., and CEO of Kent Displays, used to get agitated when electronic companies visited the Kent-based component maker of LCD displays for e-readers and writing surfaces.
Green had several prototypes of things he wanted these global companies to consider putting in to their products, but the writing surface too often was becoming a distraction instead of a promotion.
“What we learned is to never show it at the beginning of a meeting because they would doodle and not pay attention to what we were really trying to sell,” said Green, a physicist with a doctorate degree from Stanford.
