Columbus biotech companies raised $52M for year’s first half

Biotechnology companies in the Columbus region had their best first half of the year in five years for landing outside investment – with the performance led by an Israeli company basing its research operations here.

Seven medical device, software and pharmaceutical companies raised a total of $52 million January through June, making up a third of statewide biotech investment for the period, according to a report from BioEnterprise.
