Cleveland Clinic spinout raises $1.7 million in seed capital to develop surgical navigation system

A Cleveland Clinic spinout that has raised $1.7 million in seed capital.

Centerline Biomedical of Cleveland will use the money to continue developing and testing its surgical navigation system.

The system uses catheters and guide wires that are equipped with sensors. Those sensors feed information into a computer that gives the surgeon a 3-D image of the blood vessels and organs on which they’re operating.
