The first day of the Unpolished 2015 Conference on faith and entrepreneurship kicked off in typical Crossroads Church style with rock music and acrobatics before presentations from executives from Google and local startup ChoreMonster.
The conference was born from Unpolished, which began as almost a breakfast club or support group for a handful of entrepreneurs who attended Crossroads but grew into a larger meetup or speaker series that saw hundreds of attendees every month. That prompted the church to kick off the conference, which it hoped to use to draw people from across the nation. As the conference kicked off on Thursday, 1,400 tickets had been sold.
