A new Cleveland Clinic spinoff company has raised $1 million in an effort to take on Alzheimer’s and other neurological diseases.

NeuroTherapia aims to commercialize a drug that might be able to slow the symptoms of neurological diseases that are caused by inflammation. In animal trials, the compound has shown “evidence of slowing the symptoms of neuro-inflammatory diseases,” according to a news release from the Clinic.
