Technology developed at Ohio State University to help solve the bandwidth crunch from streaming mobile videos has landed another $480,000 investment in a round that remains open, according to a U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission filing.
Inmobly Inc.’s software learns the user’s preferences and uses predictive analytics to pick videos of interest and download them when the device is connected to wireless Internet or in off hours for data traffic. Target customers are wireless carriers and the producers of mobile videos.
