Pharma startup may move to industry hotspot – and that could mean more jobs here

A Central Ohio startup seeking potential new drugs within blooms of algae is seeking a pharmaceutical industry “star” as its next CEO, which might require moving the headquarters to an industry hotspot if the recruit desires it.

But that would actually lead to more jobs for Columbus if the company succeeds, said Ross Youngs, founder and interim CEO of Dublin-based Biosortia Pharmaceuticals. He also remains CEO of Marysville-based plastics maker Univenture Systems Inc., but says his management team is so strong it’s easy to lead both during the CEO search.
