Bad Girl Ventures Cleveland helps women entrepreneurs succeed, graduates 9th class

Food truck customers were the first to validate Heather Doeberling’s decision to leave her corporate job and start her own business. But winning a $20,000 low-interest loan from Bad Girl Ventures in the spring gave her the second push of confidence she needed.

Doeberling opened Boca Loca Burrito Factory restaurant in her hometown of Berea on Halloween. At 35, her restaurant background is paying off, including traveling the country to run Darden-owned restaurants such as Olive Garden. But entrepreneurship is an entirely different world that requires a different mindset. There are no systems in place – until you create them.
