YBI announces AMPED Technology Startup Competition winners

Three fledgling businesses are getting funding from the Youngstown Business Incubator.

The owners of those three start-up companies were chosen to share a $50,000 grant as some initial investment money as part of the AMPED Technology Startup Competition. The businesses include Youngstown-based company, Juggerbot 3D, which is working to design a new, easier-to-use 3D printing system. Also chosen were Smart 3D, based in Akron, and Freshmade, from Youngstown.

The competition launched in July, with a goal of generating new ideas for technology-based businesses, with an emphasis on additive manufacturing (3D printing).
