My company, Patriot Software, exists in the growing and intensely competitive Software as a Service (Saas) space, doing online payroll and accounting. We’re not as big as some of the other players out there, like Intuit and Gusto, nor are we located on a coast. Patriot is in middle America, Canton, Ohio, which, in case you didn’t know, isn’t exactly the booming capital of the tech industry.
