UDRI develops crime-fighting technology

A new technology developed with a $3 million grant to University of Dayton Research Institute has the potential to fight crime in a new way.

UDRI has been developing Footprint for more than two years with a grant from the Ohio Third Frontier. The technology has since been licensed by Copp Systems Integrator and Universal Technology Corp., who are looking to bring it to market, said Larrell Walters, head of University of Dayton Research Institute sensors division.
