Columbus, Ohio, is No. 1 in scaling up startups, Kauffman Foundation finds

More new businesses in Columbus grow to employ 50 or more people in their first 10 years than any major metropolitan area in the United States, according to the final installment in a trio of Kauffman Foundation reports measuring entrepreneurial vitality.

Overall, Columbus ranked fourth among 40 metro areas in the foundation’s Growth Entrepreneurship report released Thursday.
