Cleveland entrepreneurship is up, Ohio ranks No. 1 for middle-market firms

Startup business growth rates are up in Greater Cleveland, and the state of Ohio ranks No. 1 for growth in middle market firms, according to two economic reports just released.

Cleveland jumped in the metropolitan rankings to 19, up from the 26th spot last year, according to the Kauffman Index of Growth in Entrepreneurship. This year, Washington; Austin, Texas; San Jose, California; and Nashville were in the top five. Columbus ranks No. 4.
