Myriad Genetics, the Utah firm that agreed to buy Mason-based Assurex Health in a deal that could be worth up to $410 million, has a Cincinnati connection.
Dr. Rick Wenstrup, chief medical officer of Myriad (NASDAQ: MYGN), helped invent the technology that Assurex Health’s genetic tests are based on when he was a professor at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
