A pair of venture capitalists who left Silicon Valley to tap into “the opportunity of our lifetime” investing in Midwestern startups is launching a $300 million second fund.

Drive Capital, based in Columbus, Ohio, was founded by Chris Olsen and Mark Kvamme in 2012. The two were previously partners at renowned Menlo Park-based Sequoia Capital, the massive backer of tech companies including Apple and Google.
