Startup week aims to spur entrepreneurial growth in Dayton

Dayton, Ohio, built its entrepreneur spirit with startup companies like National Cash Register, Delco and Standard Register.
Organizers and participants of the first-ever Dayton Startup Week — which begins Monday — said the city can once again become an “entrepreneurial hub” for similar companies.
“We tend to cling onto the past, instead of building on the future,” said Jacob Crawford, a web architect for creative agency startup Virtuojo. “But we can be the startup hub of the Midwest. Why not Dayton?”
