ProMedica eyes new site for incubator

ProMedica has an option to purchase the vacant Willis Day warehouse near downtown and plans to move its business incubator into the building, said Randy Oostra, the company’s president and chief executive.

“We have an option at this point,” he said. “We have grown [the incubator], and we believe that in a very short period of time, we could have 12 to 15 companies join us in our incubator.”

Tedra White, a spokesman for ProMedica, said the company has been contacted by several California-based companies about the space. “There is a great cost-of-living, great proximity to different major cities, and we have already outgrown the one we are in,” she said.
