Nationwide Children’s names new leader of gene therapy program

Nationwide Children’s Hospital has named a new head of its Center for Gene Therapy – which so far as generated three spinoff companies trying to bring treatments to market– as the founding director focuses more on research and clinical trials.

Dr. Kevin Flanigan as of Sunday became director of both the gene therapy center and program for neuromuscular disorders at the Columbus pediatric hospital.
