University of Akron Research Foundation to help student, faculty startups with new program

A new program at the University of Akron Research Foundation is designed to help students and faculty turn their startup ideas into successes.

The Spark Fund program will fund prototyping and testing of technologies and other innovations created by University of Akron graduate students and faculty, according to a news release. Only technologies that were created in University of Akron labs that have gone through the university’s I-Corps Site or I-Corps@Ohio programs will be considered for funding.
