Christ Hospital uses Cincinnati startup to help heart patients

Christ Hospital turned to a Cincinnati startup to help congestive heart failure patients stay out of the hospital.

MedaCheck was founded in 2012 to help seniors remember to adhere to their often-complicated medicine regimens. The company created a tablet computer with one function: beep when it’s time for a senior to take his or her medication. The tablet shows an image of the medicine, and if the senior reports that they did not take it or doesn’t interact with the tablet, an alert is sent to a call center that will reach out to the patient or a caregiver.
