Students at the University of Cincinnati are competing Sunday to reinvent transportation at the speed of sound.
The team, Hyperloop UC, built a solar-powered pod that could travel at 750 mph, taking passengers from Cincinnati to Chicago in 30 minutes. The weatherproof pod cost about $200,000 to build. The average cost of a ride would be $27 and it could move than 3,350 passengers an hour.
