Case Western Reserve produces a lot of software experts. Now one has an Academy Award

Spoiler alert: We know for sure who wins at least one Oscar on Sunday night. And it’s a Case Western Reserve University graduate and former staffer who helps bring animated faces to life on the big screen. Geoff Wedig on Feb. 11 received an Academy Award for technical achievement (shared with fellow software engineer Nicholas Apostoloff) that “recognizes the impact made by software they co-wrote that animates faces,” according to this story from The Daily at Case.
