Lumos Accelerator lands commitment for up to $500K in seed investments for startups

Lumos Innovation can usher up to 25 technology startups through its accelerator curriculum in two 2017 rounds, thanks to an unnamed individual backing investments of up to $20,000 per company, potentially totaling $500,000.

Eight startups went through the first round last fall in the downtown Columbus accelerator, with two going on to programs at Rev1 Ventures across town. Two more are gaining customers while the others need more time, mentors say.

Lumos is taking applications through April 3 for about a dozen startups to go through its 10-week curriculum starting in mid-May.
